An Agent's Representative Registration (restricted to property management) issued by the Northern Territory Agents Licensing Board will allow you to be employed by a licensed real estate agent in a property management role.

Successful completion of this course will provide you with the prescribed training requirements needed for application to the NT Agents Licensing Board for an Agent's Representative Registration restricted to property management.

A formal statement of attainment will be issued upon successful course completion.

If you are offered work before you finish your studies, you can apply for a one-year interim registration as an Agent’s Representative (training registration). To be eligible to apply for the interim registration, you must meet the following requirements:

• provide evidence of your enrolment in this course, and
• successfully complete the first 5 units of the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice:

1. CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
2. CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical in real estate
3. CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
4. CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
5. CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts

This course requires completion of 14 units of competency:

1. CPPREP4001 Prepare for professional practice in real estate
2. CPPREP4002 Access and interpret ethical practice in real estate
3. CPPREP4003 Access and interpret legislation in real estate
4. CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
5. CPPREP4005 Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
6. CPPREP4101 Appraise property for sale or lease
7. CPPREP4102 Market property
8. CPPREP4121 Establish landlord relationships
9. CPPREP4122 Manage tenant relationships
10. CPPREP4123 Manage tenancy
11. CPPREP4124 End tenancy
12. CPPREP4125 Transact in trust accounts
13. CPPREP4204 Establish commercial property lease
14. CPPREP4503 Present at hearings in real estate

There are no entry requirements for enrolling in this course.

To apply for a registration with the NT Agents Licensing Board, all applicants must:

• obtain a police check;
• hold the units of competency as specified by the agency;
• be a fit and proper person; and
• advertise your application.

Assessment by the College is competency-based. Competence implies that an individual demonstrates an understanding of the knowledge that is the basis of the practical task being carried out (i.e. having the required skills to carry out a specific role).

Student assignments are assessed based on whether or not the student has achieved the performance criteria for each element specified in the unit/s of competency they are undertaking (put simply, if you meet all of the learning criteria for a particular unit, you are competent in that unit). This method of assessment judges performance against a prescribed standard, not against other students. Students are assessed as 'Competent' or 'Not Yet Competent'.

Assignment submissions are assessed within five business days of submission. If your assessor grades your work as ‘Not Yet Competent’, they will provide feedback on what else they need you to address in your assignment before they can assess you as ‘Competent’. The best part? We don’t charge any resubmission fees for assessing, so you can resubmit as many times as you need to before being graded as ‘Competent’.
